Ashley Bastian is from Green Bay, WI and received her MSHA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her BS in Health Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ashley completed her internship at Aurora Health Care. In her free time, Ashley enjoys cooking, hiking, and playing golf.
Jessica Conway is from Lake in the Hills, IL and received her MHSA from the University of Kansas Medical Center and her BSE in Community Health from the University of Kansas. Jessica completed her internship at The University of Kansas Health System. In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling, reading, and baking new desserts.
Phillip Johnson is from Andover, MN and received his MHA from the University of Minnesota and his B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Luther College in Decorah, IA. Phil completed his residency at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. In his free time, Phil enjoys playing and watching sports, spending time outdoors, and trying out new food/restaurants.
Nora Kopping is from West Branch, IA. She received her MHA at the University of Iowa, MA in Conflict Management from the University of Haifa, and her BA from St. Olaf College. Nora completed her internship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In her free time, Nora enjoys traveling, hiking, horseback riding, practicing yoga, and cooking.
Brian Peterson is from Los Alamos, NM and received his MHA from the University of Minnesota, and his BS from Brigham Young University – Idaho. Brian completed his residency at Boston Children’s Hospital. In his free time, Brian enjoys audiobooks, running, cooking, and going to fun new places with his wife Jill and infant son Xander.
Lee Salazar is from Salt Lake City, UT and received his MHA from the University of Washington - Seattle and his BA in Spanish Translation from Brigham Young University. Lee completed his administrative internship with EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, Washington. In his free time, Lee enjoys cooking, watching movies, and spending time outdoors with his wife and baby boy.


Historically, Mercyhealth has offered employment to 100% of administrative fellows upon completion of their fellowship. In fact, former fellows now occupy leadership positions throughout the organization.
